We are now looking for a passionate Manufacturing Engineer!
Position Overview
In this position as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in taking responsibility for the equipment engineering aspects of Runway Safe in relation to production, manufacturing, and facility machinery. You will have the opportunity to conceptualize new equipment, modifying and updating current equipment, creating standard operating procedures for machinery, and ensuring production lines operate efficiently and safely. We hope that the right candidate will have the drive for continuous improvement and optimization of the manufacturing process, open to collaboration with other engineering disciplines and maintenance team and overall looking to optimize our manufacturing process. This role will require installation, troubleshooting, training, and proper documentation based on the needs of the operations.
Your profile
We are looking for you who have:
- 6 to 8 years of experience in industrial engineering, automation, and project management is required
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles including fluid mechanics, design, PLC programming, and industrial automation
- Ability to draft and read technical drawings
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite with an emphasis on Outlook and Excel
- CAD Experience with ERP systems and various PLC programming
- Ability to demonstrate aptitude for interpreting a variety of instructions whether it be written, verbal, or visual formatting
It is seen as a plus if you have:
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Quick judgement and ability to spot problems before they arise
- An independent worker but has the ability to partner and communicate effectively with others when required
- Able to multitask or change pace with ease as needed
