We are now looking for a passionate Financial Controller Associate!  

Position Overview

In this position as Financial Controller Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. In the short term, you will familiarize yourself with the company's financial systems, processes, and workflows, providing crucial support during the monthly close. This will involve leading coordination efforts with our external accounting firm, ensuring correct cost allocation, and working closely with the Sales team to manage accounts receivable. A key focus will also be on improving revenue and cost alignment, particularly in relation to inventory and shipping costs.

Once you have established a foundational understanding of the financial flows, you will take on more analytical responsibilities, conducting detailed cost and time analyses, evaluating operational efficiencies, and refining our Bill of Materials. You will help develop structured frameworks for both external and internal project tracking, aligning costs and revenue within the same reporting period. You will also play a role in improving and documenting financial procedures, conducting financial performance reviews with department heads, and offering insights to assist in cost forecasting and operational efficiency.

Your contributions will extend to process improvement, vendor relations, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting, ensuring the company adheres to best practices and remains compliant with evolving regulations. By working closely with cross-functional teams, you will continuously update cost forecasts, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide actionable insights to drive key initiatives.  

Your profile

We are looking for you to have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting (internships included).
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting.
  • Basic knowledge of revenue recognition standards.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.    

It is seen as a plus for you to:

  • Have advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
  • Have experience with financial software (e.g., Business Central, Bright analytics, QuickBooks, Bill.com).
  • Be familiar with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding financial information.
