Position Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Controller to take on a newly created, hands-on role which offers the opportunity to build and shape our manufacturing finance capabilities from the ground up. You will report directly to the CFO and act as the primary financial partner to our Operations and Supply Chain teams, translating production performance into clear, actionable financial insights.
In the beginning, you will work with mapping and utilizing existing information and build up the department’s fundamental capabilities within the area, while also using this time to plan the future together with the CFO. During the implementation of the plan, you will be an integral part in helping the organization build and improve the digital landscape in and around the production lines, enabling us to track and convert performance data into financial insights. Therefore, previous experience of manufacturing finance, as well as a deep understand of ERP structures in a manufacturing environment, is crucial for you to be successful in this role.
You will:
- Perform standard cost variance analysis and assist with the root cause understanding.
- Assist with data-based decision support and own financial production KPI reporting.
- Be a financial partner and support the Operations and Supply Chain teams with translating the forecast into financial scenarios and outcomes, and for highlighting data quality issues that prevent reliable analysis.
- Work with our standard cost procedures and governance. Understand and review suggested changes to make sure the labor, material, and overhead rates are accurate and that the financial impact is analyzed and made known to the teams.
- Analyze and translate manufacturing performance (yield, scrap labor efficiency, etc.) into financial effects, and assist the team with modelling the effect of different initiatives.
- Lead the costing in the ERP and the financial oversight of the inventory management and valuation.
- Take lead within the finance team to ensure accurate accruals for production and SCM items during month end close.
- Have the responsibility of building the story of the COGS variance’s impact on the Gross Profit-bridge to various parts of the organization.
Your profile
We are looking for you who have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4-6 years with a broad financial exposure, including experience in manufacturing finance/controlling.
- Strong expertise in:
- Standard costing
- Variance analysis
- Inventory/WIP accounting
- ERP manufacturing costing
- Advanced Excel
- Experience working closely with operations and/or on the production floor.
- Strong understanding of data flows, process logic, and financial impacts across manufacturing.
- Analytical and detail-oriented skills; Understands importance of master data governance and how minor items affect the bigger picture performance.
- Self-Management skills; able to build and drive projects forward with clarity, while escalating when needed.
- Solution-oriented skills; working with limited data, turning complexity into structured, accessible, and value adding financial insights.
- Humility skills; a collaborative mindset and strengthen our cross functional ways of working.
- Fluency in English.
It is seen as a plus if you have:
- Master’s degree in Manufacturing Finance, Controlling, or related financial field.
- Experience with month-end closing in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience of working within and/or supporting Supply Chain.
- Familiarity with BI tools.
- Spanish language skill.

Compensation & Schedule for This Role
This role will be on-site in our Swedesboro (Logan Township), New Jersey location.
- Working hours are Monday through Thursday, between 7am to 5pm.
- The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - 120,000.
- Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data.
